Congratulations Spring Membership Challenge Winners!

From January through March, NMPTA held their Spring Membership Challenge.  Three cash prizes were given away.

$500 was awarded to ONE PTA that had the largest percentage of growth from their highest past three year’s membership year.  Congratulations to Sunset View Elementary PTA!  Their 2019 membership grew 109% over their 2018 membership!  Here’s what they had to say about their success:

We had an amazing PTA Board this past year and we all worked really worked hard to increase PTA membership. We learned that a great incentive for us was we promoted membership during the Meet the Teacher event before the start of the school year. We had tables set up outside where parents were waiting, handed out some free popcorn and just tried to be inviting and welcoming.  We also sold the T-shirts that the kids need for school field trips and offered a bundle price of $20 for both membership and a shirt.  We also promoted that membership does not mean that they are signing up to volunteer but simply supporting what we do and supporting their school.

$300 was awarded in a drawing for ONE PTA who had at least 10% growth over July 1- December 30th 2018 combined membership numbers.  Congratulations to North Star Elementary PTA!  Their membership on March 31, 2019 was a 36% growth over their membership on December 31, 2018!  Here’s what they had to say about their success:

Being a new PTA mom, I did tell a lot of my new mom friends how much fun I was having,  and that I have met some awesome people being involved in PTA. So they joined to be part of the awesomeness. A lot of it is word of mouth. We did have our big meeting discussing next year’s programs, and a lot of parents wanted to be a part of voting decisions so they joined at that time as well. I’m hoping next year we have even more participation. I’m getting the word out for July 1st Memberships now.

$200 was awarded in a drawing for a PTA that was chartered after July 1, 2016 for the highest percentage of growth from their highest previous year’s membership numbers.  Congratulations to Inez Elementary PTA!  This PTA, who was charted in 2017, had a membership growth of 15% in 2019 over 2018!
