Our goal is to write policy which will allow (or possibly disallow) local PTAs to use credit/debit cards and also use electronic means such as Square, Zelle, PayPal, etcโwhile ensuring strong safeguards against fraud and embezzlement.As part of this committee, youโll help research how PTAs and other nonprofit organizations manage electronic payments, explore the pros and cons of credit/debit cards and electronic banking as it pertains to PTAs, and contribute to writing statewide policy that protects our PTAs while enabling modern financial tools.If youโre interested in helping, please send your contact information to vp.finance@newmexicopta.org.
