NMPTA is reaching out to invite volunteers to join a new committee focused on creating policy for New Mexico PTA’s use of credit/debit cards and their use of electronic banking. Our goal is to write policy which will allow (or possibly disallow) local PTAs to use credit/debit cards and also use electronic means such as Square, Zelle, PayPal, etc—while ensuring strong safeguards against fraud and embezzlement.![]()

As part of this committee, you’ll help research how PTAs and other nonprofit organizations manage electronic payments, explore the pros and cons of credit/debit cards and electronic banking as it pertains to PTAs, and contribute to writing statewide policy that protects our PTAs while enabling modern financial tools.![]()
